Hi,
My name is Molly and am currently 13 years old, 14 in 14 days! I have recently been binge watching perhaps now one of my favourite anime ever! Sailor moon. In October i will be attending Bristol anime and gaming con, I hope to do my first ever cosplay (unless you count running around my garden holding a twig shouting expelliarmus,) I would love to cosplay as Sailor Mars. As a newbie with not many tools, time and a small budget from what i have read it will be a challenge but i would love to come out of this triumphant. What i wanted to ask is have you got any tips for actually making my costume? or a website where i could get advice? I will be going with a friend who will be embarrassed to be near me but i hope will soon lighten up. OH GOD what am i getting myself into?
my plan so far is to start of with a base of a white leotard, (as i am trying to save money) i will be dying either light sheets or school skirt heavy fabric red to make the skirt and neckerchief.
The tools i have include:
A glue gun,
A sewing machine,
assorted pieces of felt,
a couple of big pieces of fabric,
and a drill,
p.s i wont be wearing a wig and i hope to have a budget of 10 - 20 pounds
please tell me if i am aiming to high
