Here's the OOC thread for the Time Travelers IC thread.
What would you do if you had the ability to go to any time period in the world without a machine to keep track of? Would you abuse the ability or use it to simply learn more about historic events? Jumpers can stop time whenever they want and go wherever they want in time. See all of the historical things that was missed, or all of the futuristic things that they would never be able to see. What started out as harmless fun soon turned into fear of being captured and killed. Who would be hunting them? Individuals that dub themselves the Gate Keepers learned of the strange ability, and they didn’t much like the fact that others were messing in time. So, they began to appear in the times that the jumpers would jump to. They hunted them down and intended to either capture or kill them, but generally they were killed. Those that ended up befriending each other decided to get trained properly in the art of secretiveness and the ability and knowledge of staying hidden.
Alright, this is going to be a casual RP. The objective is to visit anywhere you want to go while keeping away from the Gate Keepers. This will take place on earth, but who knows where the future us lives, so feel free to make up whatever you want to for futuristic type posts! I am perfectly fine with you playing as a Gate Keeper if you want, just no modding other people’s characters. I’m gonna do something that’s rare or me, and not require profiles. So, just feel free to jump on in. The only rule is that All Roleplayers' Sanctuary Rules Apply.
Have fun! Also, yes I realize this sounds a lot like the movie Jumper, but my friend and I created this RP a few years before the movie even came out, lol. But, whatevs.
